The Militarised Industrial Complex and its crimes against humanity.

PART THREE: The end of humanity. How the world's wealthiest businesses value profit over people.

Let me make something clear ! I'm not talking about the eradication of our species, it's ridiculous to think that the Global elite would want us all dead. Who would do their dirty work for them!

What I am referring to is the insidious way in which the Global elite, the One percent have, since the second war, eschewed morality and humanitarian behaviour in favour of accumulating wealth and its inevitable consequence, influence. Power. Control.

The end of humanity that I am describing is the concept of cherishing dollar bills more highly than human lives.

The rise to power of Adolf Hitler was made possible due to the financial clout of German tycoon Fritz Thyssen. America's oldest private investment bank Brown Brothers Harriman and Co handled Thyssen’s international banking! Once in power, Hitler relied on banks such as the Bank for International Settlements, Chase and Morgan, and Union Banking Corporation to facilitate German financial operations worldwide.

It wasn't just the US banking giants who ensured that Germany achieved its industrial and military dominance. In March 1939, just 6 months before Britain entered WWII, the Bank of England surrendered to Germany 5.6 million pounds worth of gold that belonged to the National Bank of Czechoslovakia.

Both the Bank of Canada and the US Federal Reserve Bank helped to launder Nazi gold by transferring it from a Swiss account to one held by neutral Portugal. A single transaction in June 1942 by the Canadian bank moved 4.02 metric tons of gold.

Switzerland’s role in laundering hundreds of millions of dollars in gold stolen from the central banks of European countries on behalf of the Nazis is well known.

This eagerness to profit from the deaths of millions wasn't confined to the financial sector. Bradford Smell, a former antitrust attorney for the United States Senate, and a scholar with the Brookings Institution wrote that General Motors was far more important to the Nazi war machine than Switzerland. In The Washington Post’s 1988 scrutiny of the role of US businesses in the German war machine, Michael Dobbs wrote, "The Nazis could have invaded Poland and Russia without Switzerland. They could not have done so without GM. 

Numerous other major US corporations such as IBM, IT&T, Kodak, Gillette and Coca Cola all had major investments in Germany when the US entered the war in 1941.

By the end of WWII the influence of the biggest US corporations had grown significantly and they were able to convince President Truman to support the creatine of the state of Israel despite the fact that, fearful of creating conflict in the region, his cabinet  and the US dept of state favoured the establishment of a  UN trusteeship.  

Now, this article is not about debating the rights and wrongs of the decision to create the state of Israel. The British mandate over the region was due to end in 1948 and after the horrors of the holocaust, the right to self determination in a safe state that Jewish people from all over the world could call home had never been clearer.

At the same time, the Palestinian people had an equally valid claim to the right to self determination in their own state.

Equality, freedom and the right to a peaceful existence are fundamental human rights and as such, no ethnic group can claim more entitlement than any other. 

Emperor Haile Salassie I of Ethiopia was profoundly accurate when he addressed the UN in 1963 ‘

Until the philosophy which holds one race superior and another inferior is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned, everywhere is war. And until there are no longer first-class and second-class citizens of any nation, until the colour of a man's skin is of no more significance than the colour of his eyes. And until the basic human rights are equally guaranteed to all without regard to race, there is war. And until that day, the dream of lasting peace, world citizenship, rule of international morality, will remain but a fleeting illusion to be pursued, but never attained... now everywhere is war.”

So given that Palestine has never had the same kind of international protection as Israel, could it be that the overarching desire amongst the industrialists and bankers who argued in favour of an act that many feared would undoubtedly lead to increased instability in the middle east, was in fact based on profit?

Did the MIlitary Industrialised Complex have its eye on the power granted by oil and did they in fact see the likelihood of further wars in the region as an opportunity to sell more weapons. After all, the huge market opportunities of WWII were no more.

Staying with business opportunities, let’s take a look at how the US welcomed, with open arms, some of the scientists and engineers who helped Hitler to build the 3rd Reich into the most formidable war machine the world had ever seen.

The massive global success of German companies who gained their dominance due to assisting the Nazi war machine is well documented and has been the subject of intensive research by historians over the years. In his 2023 book, ‘Nazi Billionaires’, Dutch author  

David de Jong provides a disturbing insight into the roles played by Porsche, BMW and VW in creating the highly efficient, mechanised military that came so close to conquering all of Europe in the 1940s.

I am not at all surprised about these revelations, no doubt had Germany won the war they would have pointed the finger at British companies who built weapons and armoured vehicles for their own troops.

What does interest me is the fact that so many key figures in the 3rd Reich not only escaped justice for their part in crimes against humanity, but were in fact given new lives working for major corporations who form what we now call, The MIlitary Industrial Complex. Not only were thousands of ex Nazi officers recruited as spies for the CIA but as the 1977 enquiry led by Senator Elizabeth Holtzman proved, many had details of their Nazi history removed from their records by the CIA so that they could be integrated into US society!

Some of the key developments that helped make the US the global superpower it became were the result of research carried out by high ranking members of Hitler’s elite.

Operation Paperclip was a secret US intelligence program that brought more than 1,600 German scientists, engineers, and technicians to the United States after World War II. The program began on July 20, 1945. Many of those brought to the US had been active members of the Nazi party. At the same time the US controlled west germany saw hundreds of thousands of ‘less useful’ Nazi party members tried for their crimes with over 1000 sentenced to death.

Profit over people again being the hidden mantra of the MIC which by now saw an opportunity to wrest control of the US intelligence service and its associated military strength from the democratically elected, American government.

One of the more notable ‘converts to global democracy’ was Werner von Braun, chief developer of the V2 rocket who worked for the US army and NASA and helped develop guided missile systems. A less well known fact is that von Braun brought over 120 colleagues with him as part of what became known as ‘The Von Braun group’. Many of whom were implicated directly in war crimes. Von Braun himself utilised slave labour from the concentration camps in his research.

Many of the so-called medical experts brought into the US were in fact experts in biological and chemical weapons.

Although born in the US, Thomas McKittrick, the former president of the Bank for International Settlements, is another example of how military might was seen as more important to the MIC than morality

As head of the BIS, headquartered in Basel, from 1940 to 1946, McKittrick played a crucial role in abetting Hitler’s war and, at the same time, in revealing details about his Nazi colleagues to his friends in Washington, D.C. On McKittrick’s watch, the BIS willingly accepted looted Nazi gold, carried out foreign exchange deals for the Reichsbank, and recognized the Nazi invasion and annexation of conquered countries. By doing so, it also legitimized the role of the national banks in the occupied countries in appropriating Jewish-owned assets. Indeed, the BIS was so indispensable to the overall Nazi project that the vice-president of the Reichsbank, Emil Puhl, who was later tried for war crimes, once referred to the BIS as the Reichsbank’s only “foreign branch.” In the closing months of the war, as American GIs fought their way across Europe, McKittrick was arranging deals with Nazi industrialists to guarantee their profits after the Allied victory.

It should be clear by now that the industrialists and bankers who both financed the Nazi war machine and then recruited the most useful brains of the regime after its fall where interested not in bettering the planet but in profit and military might.

The Military Industrial Complex is based on 2 key principles, accumulating more wealth than anyone else and being better at killing people than anyone else.

To date, the only state confirmed to have used atomic weapons against civilians is the US.

Is it really so outlandish therefore to suggest that the genocide in Gaza, carried out with mainly US weapons, funded by mainly US donors and laughingly referred to as self defence by the US government, is anything other than a business plan? A profit and loss statement where the losses are human lives and therefore insignificant in the quest for ever increasing wealth and power.

The Military Industrial Complex is quite demonstrably not interested in humanity. 

The massive corporation BackRock financed many of the weapons sent by the US and UK governments to help  the Ukrainian military fight against Russian aggression. I have already written about how BlackRock financed the modernisation of the Russian military and Gas industry.

BlackRock has been awarded the contract ro rebuild the Ukraine once that becomes more profitable than destroying it.

BlackRock do not act alone, Vanguard, State Street, Chase Morgan, Berkshire Hathaway all profit from war. Remember Operation Mockingbird? The same global corporations also hold massive shares in the world's media corporations. Despite the fact that Fox News and CNN are seen as rivals in the world of media, both are heavily financed by the same global corporations.

That’s why viewers in the West are shown carefully sanitised versions of news reports from places such as Gaza.  It would be difficult to portray the IDF as champions of self defence if western viewers were shown the scenes I saw of platforms erected for people to watch the slaughter of the Palestinian people. Cheering each time a tank fired its deadly round of self defence towards a school, hospital or IDF designated safe zone’.

That is the death of humanity I am speaking about. It’s far easier to justify crimes against humanity if the true scale of the horror is hidden from you. Obviously the conflict has to be covered by mainstream media , MSM, otherwise it would become too obvious even for a society numbed with mindless social media, prescription drugs and the effects of falling literacy levels. It never ceases to amaze me though when a report of a hospital being blown to pieces is lower down an outlet's news feed than whatever celebrity gossip they choose to focus on. Check for yourself.

After I published part 1 of this series, a tiny minority of respondents decided that for reasons known only to themselves, they would label me as being anti-semetic. Clearly they don't understand the meaning of the word but for the avoidance of any doubt, let me point out that it is not the citizens of any of the countries whose governments actions I have criticised in this series that I hold responsible for the horrific crimes against humanity I have referred to.

Apart from the fact that the title of the series clearly informs the reader that the object of my criticism is the Military Industrial Complex, The idea that by criticising the actions of a government equates to bigotry against the people living in the state that government controls is, quite simply, false.

In my opinion anyone who makes such an ill informed accusation is either ignorant of the facts, or, is deliberately trying to discredit anyone who doesn't conform to their own views. Paradoxically, many of the people who do so are also vehemently critical of regimes where expressing alternative views or theories is likely to result in incarceration or death.

The Military Industrial Complex does not give a damn about nations or religions any more than it is restrained by morality!

Indeed using two highly secretive yet even more influential groups the MIC has expanded its grip on the world by whatever means it deems necessary.
