Welcome to The Gonzo Journalist, featuring the writing of both myself, The Gonzo Journalist and The Scouse African, a full time, self employed writer who has a passion for visiting ancient sites and exploring the forgotten history of our species, the remarkably similar origin stories found at these sites and most of all, in collecting and telling the stories of the people he meets as his travels. These stories are retold exactly as they were relayed to him. Nothing is censored. The emotions and feelings he expresses are his own. Personal, unapologetic and often jarring. No topic is off limit and although he sometimes adds context for clarity, he doesn’t dilute or enhance the his experiences, nor the experiences of the global citizens who allow him to tell their stories.

We are both fierce advocates of free speech and believe passionately in the right of each individual to live the life of their choosing, free from discrimination, censorship, hunger, thirst, oppression and fear and with the freedom to worship whichever God they choose. To vote for whomever they wish and identify however they desire. Their only obligation being to grant all others the same basic human rights.

Neither of us has a political allegiance, we don’t adhere to any religious persuasion nor do we believe any race to be superior to another. We are one hundred percent independent and write the truth as we see it.

We don’t fear the future, we don’t regret the past. We do our best to live in the present and to do no harm.

We are very alike and often people struggle to tell us apart.
