Getting away with murder.

The MIlitarised Industrial Complex and its crimes against humanity.

PART ONE: When is genocide acceptable?

The Cambridge Dictionary defines genocide as;

the crime of intentionally destroying part or all of a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group, by killing people or by other methods:

The US government recently accused the Sudanese Rapid Support Forces of committing genocide during its ongoing war with the Sudanese military. During my time in the border area between Egypt and Sudan I spoke to many Sudanese refugees, fleeing the conflict and the stories they told me confirm the view of the US government.

Working in the Amhara, Tigray and Oromo regions of Ethiopia I witnessed the systematic destruction of houses and the forced removal of Ethiopian citizens as well as the use, by the Ethiopian government, of drone strikes which killed dozens of people in the Amhara region. Local and international media and aid organisations estimate the numbers killed in the last 12 months to be in the hundreds. With thousands more displaced.

Genocide and crimes against humanity have in recent years been a common occurrence in Ethiopia  with numerous international watchdogs, aid agencies and human rights organisations accusing Addis Ababa of both.

It seems illogical then that president Biden recently informed congress that the US government no longer viewed the actions of the Ethiopian government as illegal, so much so that the hardware being used by the Ethiopian military in the intentional killing of both Tigrayan and Amharic peoples, are NATO member Turkey’s, Akinci and Bayraktar drones.

The following  international agencies  have accused Prime Inister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government of both Genocide and crimes against humanity in Gaza;

  • The UN Human rights council

  • Amnesty International

  • The ICC

  • UNRWA

  • The Red Cross

  • OCHCR

  • Human Rights Watch

  • Doctors Without Borders

  • OXFAM

  • The Lancet

  • 146 countries in the UN general assembly

  • Dozens of Israeli politicians, lawyers and academics.

Noticeable from this list are the US and UK governments. Not surprisingly as they are both profiting financially from the situation in Gaza. The UK alone has benefitted to the tune of just under half a billion pounds from the sale of military equipment to the Israeli government.

Both were also silent when the IDF carried out military action against targets in Lebanon, Iran and Syria, all of which caused civilian deaths, indeed US and UK forces have themselves conducted military actions in Syria recently with 8 UK special forces troops currently being investigated for crimes against humanity in Syria over the past 2 years.

Naturally these cases are shrouded in secrecy.

Seemingly a state's sovereignty counts for nothing if the US decides its citizens aren't covered by international law.

Let’s remind ourselves of the dictionary definition of genocide;

“the crime of intentionally destroying part or all of a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group, by killing people or by other methods”

The UN goes even further, recognising the physical and mental components of what is surely the most heinous form of state sanctioned murder;

  1. A mental element: the "intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, as such"; and

  2. A physical element, which includes the following five acts, enumerated exhaustively:

    • Killing members of the group

    • Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group

    • Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part

    • Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group

    • Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group

Neither definition ends with the proviso, unless a state is defending itself.

The idea that Palestinian women and children deserve to be killed because of the Hamas led attacks of October the 7th, as heinous as they were, is as laughable as it is morally repugnant and would never stand up in a court of international law.

With any conflict there will always be an element of ‘oh but they did this’ or, ‘ they started it’ and the situation in Gaza is no different.

I have even seen reports of commentators on both sides of the debate looking for the root cause in Biblical terms! This ‘playground name calling’ is both pointless and as it is based on opinions, worthless in the pursuit of the truth. Furthermore it is a deliberate distraction, designed to sidetrack people from the fact that tens of thousands of civilians have, and are still, being killed, displaced, subjected to deliberate starvation, denied medical assistance, raped, humiliated and subjected to mental torture as cruel as we have seen at any point in modern times.

It's not just in Gaza that we see this huge disparity in the way civilian deaths are reported valued, based on ethnicity. Every time Russian missiles cause civilian deaths the US, UK and their agents in mainstream media are quick to mention war crimes. When Ukrainian forces actions lead to casualties amongst Russian civilians they speak of ‘ the need to investigate how this could have happened’.

Since WW2 there are numerous examples of American policy foreign policy enabling brutal dictators and military regimes to commit mass murder knowing full well that they acted with impunity because of Uncle Sam’s military might and economic dominance. In part 2 I will examine the role played by both the US and  Israeli governments in supporting the Apartheid regime of South Africa.

Can we deduce from this that in the last 80 years or so America has had a series of psychotic Presidents who saw foreign lives as worthless? Who had no respect for the very principles cherished by the world's first truly democratic state?

A nation that proudly calls itself the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Undoubtedly not.

Yet on initial appearance the evidence is to the contrary. In part 2 of this article I will examine the evidence that behind the scenes, there exists a shadowy cabal of powerful individuals and corporations who view all humans as expendable commodities, livestock to be slaughtered when the price is right.

In parts 2 and 3, I look at how the Militarised Industrial Complex (MIC) decides who lives and who dies.  Who rules and who is ruled. Who is a terrorist and who is a freedom fighter.

I will highlight the evidence that  morality plays no part in their pursuit of ever increasing wealth, influence and, most sought after of all, power. Absolute power.

I will show how, in the aftermath of WW2 the emergent MIC quietly welcomed some of Hitlers leading scientists and engineers in the pursuit of world dominance.

I will explore the secretive Bilderberg group who have assisted them by directing US foreign policy and global events, how the so called ‘deep state’ exercises its control of the global economy, political structure and military might in an increasingly dystopian way, sacrificing millions of lives in order to create geographically designated economic and military ‘blocs’, all dancing to the tune of the 1% and their ultimate goal of everlasting dominance over an ever diminishing global population.
